Garvin Millen
“I am a Jamaican. I am a self-taught artist who uses my natural talent to work primarily in three-dimensions. As an artist who works mostly in 3D, my works take the form of sculptures from limestone and wood, assemblages from found objects and relief images. My work so far as been an exploration of masculinity, puns, humor and the use of materials sourced from the surroundings. A graduate of the Utech's Caribbean School of Architecture, I use my creative abilities and architectural skills to solve problems. For me, creating things is second nature. I have been awarded on many occasions in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) visual arts competition.” - Garvin Millen
