British-born, Jamaica-based artist Mike Stanley (1944-2020) studied at Chelsea College of Arts, London (1963-67). He taught art in London and then at the Caribbean School of Architecture and exhibited on average every two years, including some joint exhibitions with his wife Margaret. The National Gallery of Jamaica remembers Mike as a brilliant post- abstractionist whose inspirations were drawn from Jamaica"s tropical environment.
